J.D. Salinger, Syd Barrett—folks for whom enormous adulation seemed to provoke retreat, life-long reclusiveness.

Fun with captions
The NYT has a story about Iran’s nuclear program. But its photograph is actually of an Iranian highway. Whuh?
The caption explains: “President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran, center, at a highway tunnel near Tehran. Much of Iran’s atomic work is also in tunnels.”
Clever! This is a good way for newspapers to find art when they don’t have a photo for a piece.
